Wander through the parkland to ride a few waves, soak up some sun, take a leisurely stroll along nine mile beach, pick up some hot chips from the Take-Away across the road, pour yourself a glass of Chablis or a beer while the steak sizzles on the Barbie and then finish off with a few quick games of Pool.

Park out the front or there's a fully enclosed parking area with room for a car and boat.

Launch your boat off the all weather boat ramp just around the corner and head out to sea or down Swansea Channel and under the bridge to Lake Macquarie.

If you're a beach or rock fisherman, simply wander through the park to the Beach or the Swansea Channel Break-wall.

While the fishermen catch the evening meal, go for a dip in the still water at Granny's Pool beside the boat ramp which is a great recreation area for small children.

There's also plenty to do inside with a supply of DVDs, videos, books, games and a pool table or head into town to take in a movie or go ten pin bowling.
