waves, soak up some sun, do some beach fishing or take a leisurely
stroll along nine mile beach. Pick up some hot chips from the
take-away across the road, pour yourself a glass of wine or a beer
while the steak sizzles on the barbie and then finish off with a few
games of pool.

Launch your boat off the all weather boat ramp
just around the corner and head out to sea or down Swansea Channel
and under the bridge to Lake Macquarie.
If you're a beach or rock fisherman, simply walk
across the road to the Beach or the Swansea Channel Break-wall.
While the fishermen catch the evening meal, go for
a dip in the still water at Granny's Pool beside the break wall,
which is a great recreation area for small children, there’s also a
playground across the road for the kids.
There's plenty to do inside with a supply of DVDs,
books, games and a pool table or head into the nearby shopping
centres at Swansea, Belmont or Charlestown. Swansea has both Coles &
