Blacksmiths Beach is a great, safe, swimming beach for kids, being sheltered by the break wall. It is just a short walk to takeaway shops, pub, small convenience store and café and a short drive to Swansea city center. Located between the beach and the lake, Blacksmiths is a unique area great for boating, fishing, swimming and exploring. Blacksmiths also has a shallow swimming hole called Grannies Pool which is the perfect place to cool off. There is plenty of parking for a boat!
Please note - access to the backyard from the front of the house is through the right gate. The automatic gate is locked however there is driveway parking for 1-2 cars and plenty of street parking available.

Once you have settled in, Lake Macquarie is a fun place to explore, Blacksmiths beach is patrolled in the summer months, bring your boat, the local boat ramp is located on the southern end of Ungala Rd which takes you straight to the channel, there are located shops, cafes and restaurants at both Swansea and Belmont that is only a short drive away. The Orana Hotel is located within walking distance from the property which offers food, cold drinks and entertainment. Other places to explore are the Caves at Caves Beach, Catherine Hill Bay, Warners bay foreshore, there are cafes and shops and a walking track around the esplanade along the lake. The city of Newcastle is a 40 minute drive away.
